A career spent building things
Jennifer earned her journalism degree from the University of Missouri Columbia in 1986, a discipline that taught her to ask good questions and listen carefully. In 2016 she added a Certificate of Interior Architecture from UCLA Extension, which shapes how she assists clients in determining how to arrange furniture, art and collectibles in their new space.
Before Caring Transitions, she spent seven years as the founding Executive Director of MBX Foundation, in Manhattan Beach, California, where she transitioned the board from advisory to managing, and reshaped governance through the founder’s retirement. Her earlier PTA leadership in Manhattan Beach earned her two California State PTA awards.
Results that reflect the approach
The outcomes come from knowing what sells, how, and where. A three-day estate sale packed with primitive antiques, farm tools, and a 1955 Jeep Willys brought in over $24,000.
One client's three storage units became three consecutive CT Bids online auctions that together cleared more than $60,000. Nothing valuable is treated as junk. If an item can find a new home, Jennifer makes sure it does.
Part of a Denver team
Jennifer isn't working alone. Caring Transitions has other locally owned locations across greater Denver and Colorado, and the owners refer clients across territory lines so families are connected with the correct local owner. Whether a family calls Jennifer or another local owner, they receive the same standard of care.
Credentials and community
Jennifer is a Certified Relocation and Transition Specialist, a credential she renews every year. She's a member of BNI Connect of Central Park, the Central Park Business Association, and the Cherry Creek Business Association, and she sponsors Dignified Dementia.
She was recently featured in the Front Porch newspaper and has presented on downsizing and decluttering to the Sages Community at Montview Presbyterian Church. Her referral partners include Balfour, Brookdale, Rosemark, Hilltop Reserve, Everleigh, and Overture 55+, the senior living communities whose directors trust her with their residents.
